Of Two Things One And It’s Always The Third

New Relation’s Studio space, Paris, April 2021

A collection presented in the form of a horizontal and carnivalesque device of comparisons where each reversible garment with different and intertwined faces carries multiplicity within it. From one side to the other the journey is not the same. The difference is positive rather than oppositional, it is rooted in a heterogeneity that is not an opposition or a conciliation of opposites but a variation of forms and motifs. The garment is equivocal, it is the translation of relations between altered selves in becoming. Through its forms it feigns the appearance of animals or plants – molluscs or water lilies – and gives us access to a possible transmutation of perspectives, by and through the body of otherness, the who of things, personified.
